Cradling Litteracy
Getting ready to read is one the the major thing primary care giver should be really focusing on. Children always learn from their primary care giver and everything start early with children. there is nothing wrong in starting to teach kid at very early age. It doesn't harm, it only help them get ready and be ahead on everything. Even before twelve months it is still okay to read to children so that their brain is a little prepare for what's coming up next. From 12 to 24 months we should encourage children to use sounds and actions to communicate with us. Reading to children helps and encourage them to love reading. Older todler can put words together to share their thought. No matter the age of any children it is always safe and beneficial to encourage reading and the more they learn to like reading the better for them as they growing into it. And it is always good because reading is the key to success.
Tolerance
After watching the video and visiting the website about tolerance, I have learn that we need to accept and understand everyone, no matter where. It could be at work, with the students, children, with the co-workers with everybody and everywhere. Like in that video, I really like that teacher who was explaining to the student at kindergarten how everybody cannot be comfortable doing what other people are comfortable doing. The children were learning and being explained and experienced how it was like to be in the weelchair. Diversity is unavoidable because we will always come across people that don't share the same value as us. Everybody deserves to be comfortable. As teacher, we need to encourage bondage amoung ourselves and the children. Make them feel confident in every cation they take. Understand that everyone have their own way of learning and we should embrace the level of every child and welcome every child to their best abilities.

The importance of respecting cultural diversity
All children deserve an early childhood education related to their families, communities and cultural background.
Early Childhood educator faces the challenge of how best to respond to these needs. Children
still develop and learn everyday in their lives so no matter what language they speak they will develop their cognitive and social development. The language spoken at home is the language that the children have learn and know since birth. Parents should encourage it by speaking it to their children because regardless they will speak English at school. Early childhood educator should encourage the development of children's home language while fostering the acquisition of English. Diversity is one of the wonderful experience educator and children can have. They both get to learn a lot about others. Children coming from diverse different cultural background should be respected like any other children because all children deserve to be treated equally. The goal for early childhood educator should be to make the most of children's potential, strengthening and building up on skills they bring when they enter the programs. Educator should also keep contact and good relationship with the children's parents because it helps with the involvement of their development and keep track of them.
Bilingual teacher are also playing an important role in the program. If the early childhood teacher speaks the child's home language, the teacher can use that language to speak with the child to make it easier to understand, the teacher can also use it to communicate with the children family in a language they can understand. They can assist the other parents and community member who maybe unable to read and help with the communication with staff and parents. Early childhood educator can best help linguistic and culturally diverse children and their families by responding to the importance of the child's home language and culture and most importantly by respecting and preserving the diversity of their home language and culture.
